About the role
We're looking for a Chief of Staff to multiply the founders. You'll sit at the centre of the company, working directly with Josiah (CEO), and own the connective tissue that keeps a fast-scaling payments business coherent: the operating cadence, the decision documents, the special projects that don't fit neatly into any function yet.
One thing that makes this seat unusual: our CEO did this exact job as an early employee at Teya, as it scaled past a $9bn valuation. You'll be learning the role from someone who's done the role, and who knows exactly what a great Chief of Staff unlocks.
This isn't a shadow role or a note-taking role. You'll carry real workstreams with real deadlines, and within months you'll be trusted with things most people wait years to touch: regulator meetings, partner negotiations, board preparation, market entries.
What you'll do
- Run the operating cadence. Weekly rhythms, company goals, and the follow-through that turns meetings into outcomes. When something's agreed, you make sure it actually happens.
- Turn thinking into documents. Board packs, investor updates, decision papers. We run on writing, and the test for everything is that a reader with zero context could make the decision from it.
- Own special projects end to end. A market entry, a licensing push, a fundraise workstream, an operational fire. Scope it, drive it, land it, hand it over.
- Be in the room, then own the follow-up. Partner calls, regulator conversations, commercial negotiations. You capture what matters and chase every thread to done.
- Unblock across functions. You'll spot the stuck thing before it's a problem, whether it sits in sales, treasury, legal, or engineering, and you'll have the standing to fix it.
- Build the systems we'll run on at 3x the size. Trackers, processes, and tools that make the company faster, not heavier.
Who you are
- You've performed somewhere hard. 2-5 years in top-tier consulting, banking, law, a scaled startup, or building your own thing. What matters is evidence you produce exceptional output under pressure.
- You write like it's a superpower. Your documents get decisions made. Clear structure, honest numbers, no padding.
- You're a genuine generalist. Comfortable modelling one hour and drafting a regulator response the next. You'd rather have range than a lane.
- You're low ego, high agency. Board prep in the morning, fixing a broken tracker in the afternoon, and you treat both as the job.
